Pastors can wear many "hats" in ministry. Increasingly, though, those hats include work being done outside their local church as more and more leaders adopt a bivocational approach. In this episode, we sat down with pastor and professor Dr. Derek Kitterlin to discuss everything from organizational strategies when working multiple jobs to the role of theology in the life of the pastor.
Dr. Derek Kitterlin is the pastor of New Life Community Church, an 8-year old replant in Covington, Louisiana. In addition to serving his local church, Derek is also contract faculty at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Leavell College as well as the Vice President of the Evangelical Homiletical Society. Recently, Derek has also launched a new ministry, While it Is Day, equipping overseas church leaders with translated materials for a theological education.
Rob Russell is the Director of Business Development at GraceLed, a digital communications agency serving churches and nonprofits with everything from branding and web design to social media, print design, and digital marketing. He has been in ministry for over 12 years, both pastoring in New Orleans and church planting in New York City.
